She brought a great balance of creativity and practicality to the role - combining her eye for design detail with excellent organisation and communication skills. Amy was proactive, resourceful, and always professional, ensuring the yacht’s projects and contractors completed the finished works to the highest standards. Her contribution made a real difference and was vital in sourcing quality materials and suppliers. Amy would be an asset to any team looking for a skilled, dedicated, and dependable design professional and I would happily work with her again in the future.

  • I had the pleasure of working alongside Amy Dinniss during an extensive refit of MY Samaya in February – July of 2025 whilst in Orams Shipyard, Auckland. Amy played a pivotal role in ensuring both the success and the timely completion of the project. The scope of the refit was fully confirmed 3 weeks into the 6 month yard period, with many points being added & developed as the project continued and the timeframe became shorter. Amy worked incredibly closely with all aspects of the team; from the owner, the crew onboard, the designers in Europe and the Shipyard and contractors in Auckland, consistently demonstrating seamless communication skills. Amy quickly became the preferred designer that the owner would request due to her ability to quickly and seamlessly produce a multitude of designs, options and samples. With many additional requests coming throughout the refit, Amy was incredibly efficient, quickly actioning these and regularly sourcing items that were available with minimal lead time without compromising on quality. She was always calm and adaptable with requests, with nothing ever feeling like too much of an ask. In addition to this, Amy designed a number of bespoke items for both the interior and the deck and had an abundance of patience when adapting these by request. Amy coordinated seamlessly with the shipyard and external contractors, ensuring smooth progress across all areas of the refit. Her professionalism, reliability, and approachable nature made her very easy to work with, and her contribution was truly invaluable in delivering the project to such a high standard in a short time frame. I would highly recommend Amy for any future interior design projects. She combines creativity and technical knowledge with a pragmatic, solution-focused approach and is an absolute joy to work with!
